Business Casual

Joie snakeskin print tank top, ASOS Premium Blazer (similar), BCBGMAXAZRIA ribbed skirt, Michael Antonio black pumps

Morning loves, this my second look for the conference. I wore a snake skin printed top to add character to this business casual look. It’s formal and appropriate but what I like about business casual looks is that it allows you to integrate fashion into a corporate environment. You are expected to dress conservative but there is also room for expression such that can be conveyed through printed tops, statement necklaces or coloured blazers.

When picking business appropriate outfits, there’s always one rule to remember ladies! Make sure that your skirt meets the arm length criteria; in other words, if your skirt is shorter than your extended arms, it’s too short! If you skirt is a little on the shorter side, it’s always a good idea to wear black stockings just to be safe. I personally don’t feel comfortable in a business environment without tights so that a must when I’m picking outfits like for this conference. Some businesses and corporate groups take this really seriously. I remember back in high school when we used to compete in DECA competitions the judges were strict to enforce this policy, a few of the girls were even disqualified for wearing short skirts.
