Casual Monday

7 For All Mankind jeans, grey turtleneck sweater (old), Sheinside Panel Faux Leather Coat, gold trim leather boots, eBay handbag | H&M chain bracelet, Forever 21 sunglasses (sold out)

Hey all, who watched the Oscars last night? Or a better question would be who DIDN'T watch the Oscars? There were so many lovely looks, the dresses were gorgeous and the men were handsome as ever. I cannot even begin to express how amazing Ellen DeGeneres was as the host, but you all probably already know that. I'm so glad she was chosen to host once again, her wit and humour is unlike any other! I cannot believe she "broke" twitter, a true moment to remember, pure gold. I could honestly go on and talk about the Oscars and can only image next years show. I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed the entire show. During these award shows, my favourite part is often the red carpet and I tend to rely on Tumblr and Twitter for important parts throughout the show that are worth hearing about in order to carry on light conversation the following day. But the Oscars this year brought it all, from the moment the stars walked the red carpet to the very end. Loved it. What was your favourite moment? What was your favourite red carpet look? Share in the comments below :)

Don't mind my messy part, the wind was relentless.

As midterm season rolls around, outfit planning is at a bare minimum and I tend to throw on comfortable and easily accessible clothing. Now I know you may be judging my choice of jeans as comfort-wear but honestly speaking, these are the most comfortable pair of jeans that I have ever worn...and believe me, I own a good share of denim. A simple turtleneck with my leather trim coat fights the cool breeze and makes for the perfect city outfit. I always believe that it is necessary to look presentable, even during exam season. I don't understand people that let themselves go during midterm week because dressing presentable is effortless. No one expects you to wear make-up, accessorize or do your hair but leaving the sweatpants behind doesn't put a damper into one's studying I'm sure. It took me a solid five minutes to put this look together, and I can successfully make my commute without feeling self conscious of being judged in my lounge wear.

P.s you can probably tell that I underestimated the weather this morning and left the house without gloves...poor choice.

 Xo,
Sarah

  1. Hey! Just found your blog from Instagram! :)
Your general style is really cool and practical btw! Cute red shoulder bag & black jacket - I like the leather accents!
And the Oscars though right? Ellen's tweet has over 2M retweets right now or something, crazy! I really liked Lupita's dress - the colour and flowyness of it - so pretty!!
