The Boyfriend Jeans

It was a jeans and tee kind of day and mother nature decided to let it shine after several days of rainfall. I was skeptical about the distressed jean trend and although I own a few pairs, it took me a while to build up the courage to actually wear them. My parents are extremely conservative and wouldn't expect to see me in ripped jeans so their first instinct would be to replace them with a brand new pair. Growing up, when your jeans got a tear in them, you threw them out. It's funny that we're now paying hundreds of dollars for deliberately torn jeans but I guess that's the price you pay to keep up with the trends!
Sporting my ripped boyfriend jeans from Zara with a plain white oversized tee for a casual day out. When it comes to these jeans and other loose bottoms, I like to wear a thick heel because aside from the comfort and stability, they offer balance and proportionality to the overall look. These lace-up cutout heels from Call It Spring are the best of both worlds when it comes to height and comfort.
