From Betty Crocker and Duncan Hines to homemade recipes, I've been baking ever since I could remember. Baking is therapeutic. Whenever I need to clear my mind, I find that playing with flavours and designs really helps with relaxation. Back in middle school, I was know for my cupcakes at bake sales and class parties, and renowned my spot as top baker in high school (my strawberry cream filled cupcakes were the talk of the town). As member of my student council, I would bake for our meetings and social events, which gave me more than enough opportunities to try out new recipes and desserts. The endless amounts of positive feedback encouraged my sister and I to open up a bakery on the side and officially accept orders. We quickly expanded our gourmet dessert selection, to include items like cake pops which have been a favourite for years!
