Playing around with bangs has got me seriously considering making the cut. What do you guys think?

Dundas Peak

Took an impromptu road-trip with my sisters down to Dundas Peak for a little hike. The view was worth it.

Halloween look: Skull Glam

Happy Halloween loves!
Decided to do something totally different this year and went all out with skeleton glam. It took about two hours to beat our faces to the grave, and even longer to remove it thanks to the glitter, glue and smokey eye.

Trip to the Farmer's Market

The latest from my monthly trip to the farmer's market. It's refreshing to shop fresh produce when living in the city means you sometimes have no choice but to purchase over-priced fruit and veggies that are not always in the best condition. During the Summer months, my sister and I love stopping by local markets to check out their organic selection and stock up on delicious finds.

Waking up at the Thompson with Origins

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend the night at the Thompson with a small group of bloggers to experience the glory that is the new GinZing line from Origins. Staycations are key when your schedule leaves little room for relaxation, so I jumped at the mention of lavished dining, cozy movie nights and calm mornings laying under the sun (that is yoga for those of you who may have a different approach to the art).

Let's Get Candid

I was scaling through a plethora of awkward poses and could not for the life of me, choose a single photo from this shoot (out of the 50 shots we took) to post on Instagram. The poses were off, my face was awkward, or the photo just simply did not make the cut. Then it dawned on me, "do I really need that perfect shot?"

Muskoka Getaway: Road trip with Ford Canada

Last week, I took some time out of my city centric schedule to unplug and retreat to a beautiful Muskoka cottage courtesy of Ford Canada. In honour of Canada's 150th year, I've decided to dedicate time to exploring more of Canada, starting with short journeys with friends and family to nearby destinations. Road trips are always better spent with loved ones, and Best Friend's Day made for the perfect opportunity to kick off the Summer with my #FordConnections getaway. I brought my sister; my bestie since birth, along to share the Ford experience as we don't always get to spend much time together since moving downtown. We packed our bags, picked up the 2017 Ford Edge and embarked on our road trip up to cottage country.

Everyday Makeup Routine: Minimal is More

Over the years, I've gone through phases of wearing no makeup, to sporting winged liner daily, to going out with a full face of makeup regularly (my version of it is pretty down played), to finding a minimal look I could truly live with for the rest of my life.

If there was one step in my make-up routine that I had to prioritize, it would be lashes. I could go out bare faced and lashes would still make me feel glamorous. I've come to find that I'm most comfortable with a light layer of foundation, concealer, lashes (lash extensions or mascara), lightly filling in my brows, and occasionally a little blush. This here is my ideal look. There's no worry about lipstick smudging, fading eyeliner, or touching up my make-up throughout the night. It's a natural look for everyday wear.

What's your ideal look?

Sundress Season

Stepping into Spring with the most festive and fitting dress I had for the occasion. I'm not one for prints, as you've probably already gathered, though I'm starting to warm up to the idea of textiles with a little more character. I have a feeling my upcoming Summer wardrobe is going to be the most adventurous one yet 😅

Moody March

Can you tell I shot this look after binge watching The Vampire Diaries? We all know I love my all-black ensembles, and despite inviting new colours and prints into my wardrobe now, this was a dark period in my life, and I mean that figuratively of course 😅

Vancouver Travel Diary

📍 Cypress View Point
Last month I experienced more adventure than I had my entire life. I ended my trip in Dominica with a short stay in Barbados and then straight to Vancouver, and it wasn't because I was eager to return to winter in the Great White North. I went from tanning under the Caribbean sun to snowshoeing up mountains with little to no feeling in my toes; but it was well worth it. I mean, just look at that view...

I spent my New Year's Eve in Vancouver visiting one of my best friends, who by the way, totally understands the need to photograph everything; and that's definitely a friend every travel blogger needs.
Today, I'm sharing snaps from some of my favourite spots in Vancouver that are totally instagramable and will leave you wondering why it took you this long to make it out to the West Coast. 😲

Confidence in Style

I don't know if it's just me but wearing all black gives me a certain boost of confidence, a little extra sense of badassery. There's something about a dark, solidified look that makes me feel fierce; the kind of confidence once attributed to wearing make-up, though this was before I owned my skin and all it's flaws 😌   What makes you feel confident and unstoppable?

The Shoot Must Go On

Going through photos after this quick shoot in these freezing temperatures only to realize I was clenching my fist in almost every shot. It also made me realize the real MVP's are our photographers. Thanks for putting up with the cold, unpredictable weather and stubbornness of wanting to perfect the shot despite the risk of frost bite.

Cozy Co-ord's

The perfect look for those days when you just want to lounge around at home but also have to fulfill prior commitments when you'd just-rather-cancel-last-minute-and-stay-in-but-you-don't-cause-you're-a-good-person. Yupp, here I am, straight out of my living room to the streets of Toronto, heading to lunch with my sister in a comfy co-ord.

Refreshing my Apartment with Homesense

Today I'm sharing some snaps of my home in collaboration with Homesense. If you follow my  Instagram you are probably already aware of my passion for interior design and home decor, so it should come to no surprise that I'm always looking to refresh my home with new pieces. I've used the new year as an opportunity to incorporate new finds from Homesense to each room in my home.
My closet is one of my favourite rooms in the apartment. Photographed above is the newest addition to my closet that incorporates wooden hangers, a floor lamp, a faux fur sheepskin rug and wall art; all finds from Homesense.

A Break from Winter

So today was the first day I stepped out without a parka all Winter. Despite the lack of sunshine, I spent the day outdoors inhaling the crisp Winter air and appreciating the snow free streets; I'd call that a win!
Enjoy your weekend :)

Be Your Own Kind of Wonderful

Along with the new year comes new aspirations, new goals, and new visions. I've spend the last few weeks of 2016 experiencing different cultures and exploring new cities and counties that are far different from my norm. I've never really been much further than Miami beach, and pretty much spent my past vacation days exploring nearby cities and States.

Secret Bay - A Luxurious Stay in Dominica

During my trip in Dominica, I had the pleasure of experiencing the award winning resort, Secret Bay. Secret Bay is a beautiful resort composed of several luxury villas that are surrounded by nature with a view that overlooks the Caribbean Sea. It was a highlight of my trip, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury stay on the Nature Isle of Dominica.
