Along with the new year comes new aspirations, new goals, and new visions. I've spend the last few weeks of 2016 experiencing different cultures and exploring new cities and counties that are far different from my norm. I've never really been much further than Miami beach, and pretty much spent my past vacation days exploring nearby cities and States.
These past couple of trips allowed me to consume so much knowledge, insight, and culture; and experience so much more than Toronto. Don't get me wrong, I love the city, but it was nice to get away and recharge, and I'm back more confident than ever. This year is going to be a great year.
We all have our personal goals and set our selves up to accomplish them. It's important to remember to set reasonable and attainable goals and to stop comparing ourselves to others. This isn't to say that you can't reach for the stars, because you can, and I encourage that. But we must remember to remain persistent, dedicated, and true to ourselves; and only good can come from this.
I've teamed up with Wonderbra this year to encourage you all to "be your own kind of wonderful." I've found my kind of wonderful, and it's everything embodied in the image that I struggle to put forward. It's not always easy to remain authentic and genuine with all of the pressures that come with being a social influencer and blogger, and it's easy to get discouraged when your hard work doesn't get the recognition that you expected it to get. But I would rather remain true to myself than succumb to the pressures of society to produce content that I don't truly believe in or support. That's my kind of wonderful. What's yours?
